recent Jigsaw mat purchase

I run an Aikido club that has been in existence since 1967 and over these years we have used a variety of mats including foam rubber with a canvas and lately we have used Geemats 2m x 1m. Our problem is that we recently moved to a new hall which doesn't have a storage facility so we need to bring our mats to each session and the geemats are not great for being manhandled regularly plus they are heavy and difficult to handle. We recently purchased 50 off the Beemat tatami jigsaw mat 40mm thick and they are perfect in every way. They easliy fit into my van but would also go into an estate car no problem, they are light enough that they can be carried and laid out really quickly and as we do a lot of throwing the 40mm thickness is perfect for absorbing high falls. All in all these are extremely good quality and very reasonably priced and would recommend them to any club which need a matted area. there is also one other benefit, the tatami covering means that they can be cleaned and kept clean really easily and as opposed to the foam rubber jigsaw mats these don't make your feet black. Perfect for home training

I purchased 9 of these to create training space in our conservatory. Am beyond delighted with how durable these mats are. I bought them for Judo/Grappling. My son will also use them for his gymnastic training whilst in lockdown as does my daughter for ballet/dance. Also used by everyone for general workouts. They are of a good to thickness and density, lock together extremely well and easy to keep clean. Storage is simple too. Can't recommend them highly enough. And Newitts were spot on with their dispatch and delivery.
