On impact the compressed force of air travels through the layers of foam, then escapes via the side vent reducing the unnecessary pressure on the zip area and internal material seems.

This reduces the opportunity of stitching blowing or seams splitting.

The reverse of the shield features two forearm straps along with a double stitched re-enforced leather grab handle for an assured grip.
