    We purchased this bag as my sons previous, almost identical backpack had got a bit worn. There are some subtle differences such as the new model you can reach through to the main compartment from the front pocket (I'm undecided whether I like this feature as it doesn't seem very secure). We are hoping the drink net pocket lasts better on this model as the last one split within literally days. The rain cover is a nice extra although probably won't be needed. My son likes the design and it was the only bag I could find that had a a large enough capacity for secondary school use.
