5* Christmas!

I didn't know my Granny and Granda were competitive. They always were just there in the background. Moving slowly like the tortoise, from the tortoise and the hare, while other friends were coming and going they were there. This Christmas was quiet. With Covid, I didn't expect any excitement or to learn anything new about them. When these hockey sticks made their way into their hands, they transformed. We were all concerned as our Granny went for a tackle tripping over other people's sticks, but the adrenaline had made its way into her brain, and there was no stopping her now. Granda was similar - he discovered a deft flick that could send the ball sailing across the lawn, between the two coats that represented the goal post. When we finished they were tired. But they were jubilant. They had revisited their youth. These sticks were a perfect trip down memory lane. My 6 year old sister, whom we bought these for, also enjoyed them.

Eurohoc

We got the Eurohoc set for our Youth Group and their verdict was 'absolutely brilliant'. We bought the set with longer handles as most of our group are secondary school age. And we used the sequencing mats as goal posts. One or two parts of the rules were difficult to understand, possible due to translation error. That's my only criticism.

Jolly hockeysticks

Immediately on opening the bag, two or three members of our group set off around the hall wanging the puck at each other. We had difficulty persuading them to stop and concentrate on what we should be doing. Definitely a success.
