Additional Information

Due to sand being heavier than water we recommend you fill the base of your sparring bob with sand to avoid any movement of the unit when in use.

Please look out for cheap copies of the BOB and BOB XL - They are manufactured with a vastly inferior material and low quality foam. They can be spotted easily as they will often not have a height adjustable base. Remember if it does not carry the Century logo then it is not an official BOB!

Century Bob

I practice Escrima, Muay Thai, Wing Chun Jiu Jitsu and BJJ and bought this to train accuracy of techniques for the first 3 of these martial arts. The Bob is perfect for this giving you a real target to train on whatever areas you want from the waist up. Was easy to put together and when filled is pretty sterdy. Only thing wrong is it would be even better with arms and legs or at least a target to practice low kicks. Still well worth the money though and Newitts sell it at least £40 cheaper than anywhere else I've seen.

Quality shows

Bought Bob from Newitts as was best price on web as far as I could see. Saw it at 14.30 on the Monday it had arrived by Tuesday lunch time. Upon unpacking it is simplicity itself to assemble having just three parts: Bob himself, the base and the bit Bob is fastened to by 6 bolts. Once assembled it's time to fill the base with either water or sand. I prefer sand. I bought Kiln Dried paving sand as this is very dry and simply pours in using a funnel. I used 6 bags but I think I might need more. Using sharp or builders' sand might be more problematic if it is even slightly damp. You8 need dry sand so that it pours in. Took me about an hour to fill it. Bob does move when you punch him but then I haven't met an opponent or even heavy bag that doesn't... All-in-all an expensive but excellent purchase and I shall be spending many happy hours punching, slapping and grabbing Bob! Recommended.

Century BOB

This is an excellent product and well worth the money. BOB moves around a lot when I punch and kick him but I like this maneuverability. If I wanted it stationary I could always fill it with sand and not water. With a good pair of gloves BOB is an excellent punching partner and I train with it several times a week. Superb buy.

Quality punch!!

This is the best punch opponent bag in the world, and it arrived with me in less than 24 hours. If you like punching people this is as near as you will ever get and punch bags are no comparison at all, you can even get it to move around the floor a little when you get good.
