Newitts has a huge range of cricket bats, from junior to senior. We offer English willow and Kashmir Willow in both untreated wood with natural finish or covered faces that need not be oiled before use but should receive some maintenance care such as applying raw linseed oil onto its surface when new so it's got the best chance at being enjoyed for years without fail!
Our cricket bats are from top brands that include Gray Nicolls and Gunn & Moore and these are all for sale at Newitts.com.
Our cricket bat preparation and maintenance guide will help you get the most out of new or existing cricket bats:
For natural finish (untreated) cricket bats: Before use, apply a light coating of raw linseed oil (bat oil) to the face, back edges and toe with the fingers and palm of the hand. Avoid oiling the splice area.
For bats with a cover on the face: Apply oil as described above, but only to the back, uncovered edges and toe.
For polycoated bats: No oiling is required, however, during play the polycoating will wear from the toe area and the exposed willow should lightly oiled as described above.
