  Our surf life saving club has used these over the past year and are ideal for pool training and competition events for nippers (8-13 year olds). Many clubs in Cornwall use these now. Very robust and easy to differentiate between sizes at a glance. Very comfortable too.

  Having never swim with fins before and having quite poor leg kick these have really help me improve. The slightly longer fin length gives me a great power advantage. They are good quality and comfortable (a little tight when brand new but only because I have a bunion - no problems after one or two uses). My favourite colour too (purple)! A great product for an intermediate swimmer like me and I'm sure for advanced and novices alike.

  Quality durable swim fin. Used by swimming classes, therefore cannot order direct from JPL as there is a minimum order. There is no adjustment to size, so get the correct size. Don't buy larger thinking you can adjust down.

  During training with my swimming squad there there is a regular battle to get the JPL swimming fins first due to limited supply therefore I decided to buy my own pair. Really glad I did because they are very comfortable with a much softer rubber compared to other brands. They fit really well and I personally feel they are an accurate UK size. I am a female with size 9 and a half feet and bought the navy & black fins.

  Great service from Newitts, and these are brilliant flippers. I bought them for doing hydrotherapy exercises at our local pool or on holiday. Our nearest hospital hydrotherapy centre had several makes of flipper that I tried during my treatment sessions there, but these were the only ones that were flexible and comfortable on my hammer toes.

  I bought the yellow ones (smallest size) for my 4 yr old (size 8 shoe) and she loves them - they fit perfectly but have room to grow, and they are helping to improve her kicking.   I consider fit to be the primary criterion when selecting swim fins. Compared with older made-in-Malaysia fins I have tried, these JPL fins have taller-walled heels, providing additional comfort and security in use. The foot pockets are also much more robust, made as they are from thicker rubber.

  However, what makes these well-fitting fins at the heel provides a less satisfactory result at the toes. The strong top seam of the toe opening, which is strong enough to withstand flexing in use (a spot where some older fins tended to split), is not high enough to avoid rubbing against the toes. The foot pocket is simply not long enough to accommodate the whole foot.

  As for the JPL fin's blade, I found it to be a little more flexible than, say, the comparable Finis fin. As well as using the fin in workouts, I found it to be useful in snorkelling. I would have welcomed a larger-size fin, perhaps covering the European 46-47 range, as the fitting was a little snug. This said, a satisfactory fin for workout and snorkelling use, but there is room for improvement.
