First introduced in the 1990's, the popularity of Mini Soccer (7-A-Side Football) has continued to grow over the years.
The Smaller goal size of 12ft x 6ft (3.6m x 1.8m) means the game is specifically geared towards children between the ages of 6-10 years, however some leagues operate under 11 Mini-Soccer events.
The smaller pitch and goal size raises many benefits compared for younger players compared to full size football:
More touches of the ball to increase participtation and enjoyment.
Fewer players on the pitch meaning simpler decision and better understanding.
Smaller pitches ebcourage greater concetration and interest amongst players.
