The Polar Transmitter is a fundamental element of every Polar heart rate monitor. It measures the heart rate with ECG accuracy and is absolutely waterproof.
The new Polar WearLink Chest Strap consists almost completely of fabric materials and therefore offers the most comfort. It is the first of its kind that can be washed in the washing machine. In addition, the batteries of a Polar chest strap are for the first time user-replaceable. The coding of the Polar WearLink Chest Strap increases the security of the transmission. Aside from the heart rate signal, a coding is transmitted that prevents interference from other heart rate monitors. Therefore it is no problem to exercise in groups or participate in competitions.
The Polar WearLink Chest Strap can be used with all current Polar pulse monitors. However, we still recommend the Polar T61 Chest Strap for models of the Polar S series. The use of a Polar WearLink Chest Strap has no influence on the susceptibility to interference.
